“Some of us live in the real world and work to pay off our mortgages and cars. We can’t all be going on vacations like that slacker.”
“Must be nice to have all that time to exercise and eat healthy. Bet her ass would be jiggling too if she had three kids to look after.”
Do any of these nasty little sentiments sound vaguely familiar? Own it. Everyone has looked at someone else’s life and thought about how if only they had the same advantages they too would be living large instead of slogging through a dissatisfying daily grind.
The hard truth of it is that that is complete crap.
We make choices. Watching television and eating chips instead of going to the gym? Your choice. Partying instead of studying? Your choice. Bitching and moaning about how everyone else got a leg up except you instead of doing whatever it takes to pursue your goals? Your choice.
Wipe that sourpuss look off your face, you know I’m right.
